Please read these guidelines and disclaimers before following an On Demand Pilates class or free ten

Exercise Guidelines


Do not exercise:


  • If are feeling at all unwell as it is counter-productive. 
  • If you have eaten a heavy meal in the last two hours. 
  • If you have been drinking alcohol. 
  • If you are in pain from an injury; consult your doctor first, as rest may be needed before you exercise. 
  • If you have taken painkillers as they will mask any warning signs. 
  • If you are undergoing medical treatment or taking any drugs, you will need to consult your doctor first. 
  • If it causes pain.
  • Remember it is always wise to consult your doctor before you take a new exercise.

The creators, producers and distributors of this programme do not take responsibility for any injury or accident as a result of following the exercise in the programme.


By taking part in an online Pilates class, you fully understand that your teacher is not able to offer any personal correction; you agree to take responsibility for your own body; you agree not to perform any exercises or movements that may cause you discomfort; and you confirm that you are fit and able to join the class. You must ensure that you are working in a safe environment and that you are able to clearly see and/or hear your teacher in order to follow instructions. By joining the class you automatically agree to waive all statutory rights against your teacher.

Registration for New Clients


All clients will be asked complete a Registration Form prior to attending a Pilates class. All information will be stored by Shoreline Pilates in a secure, password-protected electronic folder in accordance with GDPR. All personal information supplied by the client will be treated confidentially, and will not be shared with another party without express permission from the client.


Class attendance records and lesson plans will be logged and recorded for a minimum of seven years, in line with GDPR legislation.


Payment Terms - Group Classes


Shoreline Pilates accepts payment via BACS transfer and cash. Group classes are £12 on a pay as you go basis, or £11 per class when a full month's block is booked and paid for in advance. 


Pre-payment guarantees a client's place in class. Shoreline Pilates reserves the right to refuse admittance in the event of non-payment.


Payment is required in advance of class or within 24 hours after class. Receipts are available on request.


Payment Terms - Private One to One Sessions


All private one-to-one sessions must be paid for in advance. Shoreline Pilates accepts payment via BACS transfer and cash.


Private, in person,  one to one sessions are £40 each, or a block of six sessions can be purchased for £225. Classes in clients' homes outside of a 10 mile radius of Louth may be subject to an additional charge to cover mileage.


Online one to one sessions are £35 each, or a block of six sessions can be purchased for £195. Classes will be held via Zoom, FaceTime or Skype, in agreement with the client.


Pre-paid blocks must be taken within six months of purchase.


Classes last 60 minutes, and are available to be booked during Shoreline Pilates' working hours, as stated below.


Receipts are available on request.


Cancellation Policy


Group Classes


If a client is unable to attend a pre-paid group class for any reason, they will be provided with an online, pre-recorded version, by email. Shoreline Pilates' cancellation policy does not enable for refunds or credit notes. In exceptional circumstances refunds may be granted, at Shoreline Pilates' discretion.


Private One-To-One Sessions


Shoreline Pilates requires a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel a private one to one session. In this case, the client's pre-payment will be carried forward to a future session. For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, the full fee will be due or the session will be deducted from your pre-paid block. 


Working Hours


The working hours of Shoreline Pilates are 9am - 8pm on Mondays, 8.30am-5pm Tuesday to Thursday and 8.30am - 12pm on Fridays.


Pilates Equipment


In the interests of hygiene, clients are asked to bring their own set of Pilates equipment to class. Shoreline Pilates recommends the following pieces: Pilates/exercise mat, medium resistance band, head cushion, set of light hand weights or alternative, Pilates ball.


New clients may borrow equipment for the first few sessions.


Client Expectations


When attending a class, clients are expected to demonstrate an appropriate level of effort and concentration. Clients agree to take responsibility for their own bodies and practise Pilates in accordance with the Exercise Guidelines as follows:

  • are experiencing pain as a result of the exercise.

Shoreline Pilates reserves the right to request a client to leave a class or end a one to one session if the teacher deems that the client has demonstrated inappropriate behaviour, either during or outside class, verbally, physically or in writing. In such cases, the contract between client and teacher will be ceased and any outstanding sessions will be refunded.


Behaviours that are considered to be inappropriate include angry, aggressive communications (verbal or written), and unwanted attention. 


Shoreline Pilates reserves the right to immediately end the working relationship with the client if either party is in breach of these terms and conditions.


Professional Standards


Shoreline Pilates is a member of the Body Control Pilates Association and The Society for the Pilates Method. As such, Shoreline Pilates abides by a professional Code of Practice, which can be viewed here.


Shoreline Pilates holds public liability insurance and private indemnity insurance with Body Control Pilates and Balens Ltd.
