What is Pilates?

Pilates is a physical fitness system that was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. Pilates builds strength, flexibility and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine.

Is Pilates for me?

Pilates is a progressive form of exercise, so is suitable for those who have not exercised before and wish to get into shape, and for those who have not exercised recently and would like to regain their fitness. It is also an ideal and safe way of cross-training for those who already exercise regularly, and it is widely employed throughout the sporting world to enhance and complement existing training programmes. To find out more about Pilates you can read the Body Control Pilates website. I offer Pilates classes in Tetney and Louth, Lincolnshire.
